Applications are now welcomed to become Affinity Devon's Charity of the Year for 2026 as their partnership with The Northam Care Trust comes to a close. 

The chosen charity will be able to use the shopping centre throughout the year for any fundraising events and initiatives, and benefit from donations both in stores and from our free events during key periods like Summer and Christmas.

The new Charity partnership will begin on 1st January 2026 and will last for the full calendar year.

Who can apply?

In order to be considered, charities must meet the following criteria:

• A not-for-profit charity
• Applications must be from a local charity which supports local people
• Have a UK Registered Charity Number
• Be able to support a number of events throughout the year, providing volunteers to help raise awareness and fundraise when necessary
• Have existing branding and marketing materials, for example; pop-up banners, information leaflets, branded collection buckets and pots
• Provide a single contact who can work with us throughout the year

How will we help fundraise and raise awareness?

By being our Charity of the Year you will be provided with the following opportunities:

• The chosen charity will be able to use the shopping centre throughout the year for any fundraising events and initiatives
• Be able to take part in fundraising opportunities at centre events
• Have a charity collection pot in stores across the centre
• Benefit from donations during our free events in key seasonal periods like Summer and Christmas
• When available, you will have the opportunity to create a window display showcasing the work of your charity in one of our empty units

How do I apply?

If you’re part of a worthy local charity who would like our support over the next year, fill out our online application form or download a form. Please submit your application by 5pm on Friday 21st November 2025. Unfortunately we cannot accept applications from individuals who do not work for the charity directly. Previous charity applicants and winners are welcome to reapply.
